Shipping policy

Sale Items: all sale items are final sale, with no refunds to the original payment method. Exchanges on sale items may include a processing fee.

USA Customer Duties: applicable U.S. import duties and tariffs are collected at checkout.

Advance Orders: the estimated ship date for your Advance Order reflects our most current information on when our next production run will arrive. We'll notify you when your order ships or if any delays are expected.

International Orders: international orders may be subject to duties, tariffs, taxes and import fees set by the destination country's customs authorities. These charges are the recipient's responsibility and may be collected on delivery, depending on local regulations.

Canadian Customers: customers within Canada are not charged additional duties or import fees. Applicable sales taxes (GST/PST/HST) are collected at checkout.

Shell Pieces: our shell pieces are handcrafted from natural shell. Variations in colour, shape, size and texture are part of each piece's character and are not considered defects. Please handle with care and follow the care instructions provided.

Returns & Exchanges: returns and exchanges must be requested at support@akuaswim.com within 7 days of delivery and approved before anything is sent back. Items must be unworn and unwashed, with original tags and packaging. Return shipping is paid by the customer for both returns and exchanges.

  - Returns: the cost of the return label, plus any duties, taxes or import fees charged on the return, is deducted from your refund. Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

  - Exchanges: return shipping must be paid before a return label is issued. If you choose to ship the item yourself, you're responsible for using a tracked service, completing the customs paperwork correctly, and any loss, delay or fees that result. Akua covers shipping the replacement piece to you.

Refused Deliveries: if a parcel is refused on delivery, it will be returned to us. Our actual direct costs, including return shipping, carrier handling fees, and any re-import duties, taxes or customs charges, will be deducted from your refund, up to the total order value. Original shipping charges are non-refundable. If you're thinking of refusing a package, please contact us first. In many cases we can arrange redelivery, explain duty charges, or find another solution that avoids unnecessary fees.
