U.S CUSTOMERS
Will I be charged duties, tariffs, or import fees?
U.S orders will be subject to customs duties, tariffs, and/or import fees. These charges are the responsibility of the customer.
Can I return or exchange my items?
Due to recent cross-border tariff changes and the removal of the U.S. de minimis rule, all orders shipping to the United States are final sale. We’re not able to accept returns or exchanges on U.S. orders at this time. Please email support@akuaswim.com prior to placing your order if you have any questions.
Need your order by a specific date?
Due to ongoing courier adjustments at the U.S. border, occasional holds can affect transit times. If you have a hard deadline, please email us at support@akuaswim.com before your order ships. We’ll review the fastest available options, time your dispatch accordingly, and provide our best estimated delivery date.
We’ll do everything in our power to meet your timeline, but please note that customs and carrier processing are outside our control, so delivery dates cannot be guaranteed once a parcel is in transit.
What happens if I refuse the delivery?
If a parcel is refused at delivery, it will return to our facility. We will deduct our actual, direct costs related to the return (including return shipping, carrier handling, and any re-import duties/taxes) from your refund; original shipping is non-refundable. Deductions will not exceed the order amount.
If you’re considering refusing a package, please email us first—we can often arrange redelivery, clarify duty charges, or find another solution that avoids extra fees.
What happens if I refuse the delivery?
The item I want is out of stock, what can I do?
If an item is out of stock you are able to sign up to be notified when it is back in stock or place an advance order! These options are only available for items that will be restocked.
How long does it take for my order to be processed?
Orders for items in stock typically take 1-2 business days to process
How can I edit/ cancel my order?
You are unable to change or edit orders once the order is successfully placed. Please contact us at support@akuaswim.com within 12hrs of your order being place in regards to changing an order.

Does Akua deliver worldwide?
Yes! We ship worldwide!
Can I ship to a PO Box?
We cannot ship to PO boxes or hotels. Please email support@akuaswim.com for special circumstances.
Where does Akua ship from?
We ship from Kelowna, BC, Canada.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping will be calculated at checkout based on location. We offer free express shipping on orders over $190 USD.
How do I track my parcel?
Once your order has been shipped, your email confirmation will include a tracking number to ensure that you can track your parcel right up until it arrives. If you have any questions regarding your order tracking, please contact support@akuaswim.com
What if my package is lost?
For all lost packages, please email support@akuaswim.com with order information. All lost packages are taken on a case-by-case basis.
What if I need to change my shipping address?

Returns & Exchanges
What is your return policy?
We want you to adore your Akua pieces. If your order isn’t quite right, we accept returns or exchanges on unworn, undamaged items with tags intact within 7 days of delivery. Please contact us for more details or read more at the bottom of this page.
How do I return or exchange my order?

Do you offer exchanges?
Yes! You’re welcome to exchange your item for another size, style, or color within 7 days of delivery. Items must be unworn, undamaged, and include original tags.
Do I pay for return or exchange shipping?
Please contact support@akuaswim.com before processing your return or exchange so we can provide you with the correct instructions. Customers are responsible for the cost of return or exchange shipping, and all returns must be sent with tracking. This ensures your item arrives safely back to us and allows us to process your request without delay. If your order is an exchange, we’ll cover the cost of shipping the new product back to you.

All sales items are final sale.
Return Packaging
We encourage you to reuse your original Akua packaging when making a return. Items must be returned in their original, brand-new condition with tags attached and accompanied by the reusable garment bag they were delivered in.

Return Shipping Costs
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. The cost of the initial shipping is non-refundable, as it was incurred to deliver the order to you. We will provide a return label, and the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund total. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method once the return is received and approved. Please contact support@akuaswim.com before processing your return.
Exchanges
Please contact support@akuaswim.com before processing your exchange so we can provide you with the correct instructions. Customers are responsible for the cost of shipping the item back for an exchange, and all exchanges must be sent with tracking. Once we receive and approve the returned item, we’ll cover the cost of shipping the new product back to you.
Condition Requirements
Returned items must be in brand-new condition—unworn, unwashed, and with all original tags and garment bags included. We cannot accept returns on items that are soiled, marked, damaged, or missing key components.
